ETH Zurich Courtesy Dinner

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi, hosted a courtesy dinner on Thursday, 25th June 2026, in honour of a team of researchers from ETH Zurich and postgraduate students who are currently undertaking research activities in Embu County.

During their visit, the team toured various farms across different parts of Embu County as part of a research initiative aimed at enhancing food security and promoting sustainable agricultural productivity. The researchers were also taken through the milestones achieved by the University of Embu since its inception, with particular emphasis on the University’s commitment to community engagement, research, and extension services geared towards improving food production and livelihoods.

The engagement further served to strengthen the cordial partnership between the University of Embu and ETH Zurich, while providing a valuable platform for interaction, knowledge exchange, and networking among representatives from both institutions. Such collaborations continue to foster innovative research and sustainable solutions to contemporary agricultural challenges.
