
British Academy International Writing Workshop
The UoEm is currently hosting the British Academy International Writing Workshop that started on Wednesday 24th June, 2026. The event was officially opened by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics Research & Extension, Prof. Paul Nthakanio on behalf of the VC, Prof. Daniel Mugendi. The theme is: Hands on Academic Writing and Publishing Workshop. The workshop brings together more than 60 scholars from different Education Institutions. The key focus of the workshop is on Academic writing, Manuscript development and Research integrity.Among the key speakers are; Prof. David M. Anderson who is a distinguished Professor in African History, in the Global History & Culture Centre, University of Warwick, Dr. Bethany Rebisz, from University of Bristol, Prof. John Mwaruvie, Karatina University, Dr. Jacinta Mwende from University of Nairobi, and Prof. Barbie Kerata Chacha, Dean School of Humanities, Laikipia University.
The workshop underscores the University of Embu’s commitment to advancing research excellence, fostering academic scholarship, and nurturing a vibrant culture of knowledge creation and dissemination.
