MoU Signing with Diocese of Embu and Caritas

University of Embu and Diocese of Embu, Caritas Forge Partnership to Empower Farmers and Students

The University of Embu on Tuesday, 29th September 2026, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Diocese of Embu, Caritas, to strengthen collaboration in areas of mutual interest and promote sustainable community development.

The MoU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi Njiru, and the Bishop of the Diocese of Embu, Rt. Rev. Peter Kimani Ndung’u.

The partnership will facilitate on-site training and capacity building for farmers, create opportunities for student learning and practical engagement, and foster knowledge sharing and collaboration between the two institutions.

The partnership marks another important step towards strengthening University–community linkages and advancing initiatives that contribute to the social and economic empowerment of communities in Embu and beyond.
