University of Embu Signs MoU with St. Mark Kigari Teachers’ Training College
The University of Embu on Monday, 5th October 2026, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with St. Mark Kigari Teachers’ Training College in the Senate Boardroom. The signing ceremony was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi, and the Chief Principal of St. Mark Kigari Teachers’ Training College, Ms. Dorothy Aderi.
The partnership seeks to strengthen collaboration in Teacher Education, with a particular focus on Pedagogy Training and Foundations of Education, while providing mutual benefits to both institutions.
The MoU will also support initiatives aimed at enhancing learners’ proficiency in Mathematics through HERI Research Africa, complementing the University’s ongoing efforts to equip its students with the knowledge and skills required to effectively implement Competency-Based Education (CBE).
The collaboration underscores the commitment of both institutions to strengthening teacher training, advancing educational innovation and improving learning outcomes.
