Meru University of Science & Technology Benchmarking Visit

A team of five officials and eight student leaders from Meru University of Science and Technology visited the University of Embu on Tuesday, 2nd June 2026, to benchmark on the University’s Electronic Student Voting System. The delegation was led by the Registrar, Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. Stephen Karanja.

The team was received by the Dean of Students, Prof. Fredrick Njoka,on behalf of the VC, Prof. Daniel Mugendi and the Head of ICT, Mr. Maurice Murimi. During the visit, the delegation was taken through the University of Embu’s Electronic Voting System, which has been successfully in operation since 2020. The benchmarking exercise provided an opportunity for knowledge sharing and the exchange of best practices in leveraging technology to enhance student leadership elections and governance processes within universities.
