
Photos of Secondary Schools Academic Visit
The University of Embu welcomed students and teachers from five secondary schools drawn from Embu, Kirinyaga and Tharaka Nithi counties on Friday, 17th July, 2026, for an educational and career mentorship visit aimed at inspiring informed academic and career choices.
The participating schools included St. Joseph Integrated Senior School, St. Mary Gataka Secondary School, Sacred Heart Kyeni Girls Secondary School, Thigaa Senior School and Rukanga Secondary School.
During the visit, the students were taken through the University’s remarkable journey, milestones and achievements since its establishment, gaining valuable insights into its academic programmes, research excellence and commitment to innovation and community service. They also participated in an interactive career guidance and mentorship session, where they received professional advice on selecting university programmes aligned with their interests, talents and future career aspirations, while appreciating the importance of academic excellence in achieving their goals.
The learners later toured key University facilities, including the Computer Laboratories, the University Farm and the Prof. George Magoha Library, where they experienced the University’s state-of-the-art learning and research environment and interacted with modern teaching and learning resources.
