Thogoto Teacher’s Training College Benchmarking

A team of 16 officials from Thogoto Teachers Training College visited the University of Embu on Thursday, 11th October 2026, for a benchmarking tour focused on Performance Contracting, Monitoring and Evaluation, and best practices in quality service delivery.

The delegation was received by the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Research & Planning, Prof. Paul Nthakanio, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi. Prof. Nthakanio briefed the team on the University’s milestones since its inception, highlighting key governance measures and institutional practices that have contributed to sustained quality service delivery and the University’s attainment of an Excellent category in performance rankings.

The delegation thereafter held one-on-one sessions with selected Heads of Departments and Sections, who shared insights and best practices in various thematic areas relevant to the benchmarking exercise.
