UoEm Staff Mark International Day of Charity at St. Monica Special School, Embu

A team of staff from the University of Embu visited St. Monica Special School, Embu, on Friday, 28th August 2026, to commemorate the International Day of Charity through a day of compassion, interaction and giving. The team spent time with the learners in an engaging and memorable session that included playing games, face painting and other recreational activities.

The visit culminated in the presentation of donations, including clothes, foodstuffs, mattresses and firewood, to support the school and enhance the welfare of the learners. The initiative reaffirmed the University’s commitment to community engagement, social responsibility and making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable members of society.
