
Delegation from Instituto Superior Politecnico Ndunduma (ISPN) Angola Benchmarking Visit.
A three-member delegation from the Instituto Superior Politécnico Ndunduma (ISPN), Angola, visited the University of Embu (UoEm) on Wednesday, 13th August 2026, for a benchmarking visit aimed at strengthening institutional linkages and exploring opportunities for collaboration.
The delegation was led by President of ISPN, Ms. Salome Clara Shimofila, and comprised Ms. Djamila Vca Cassomo and Mr. Samuel Chissingui. They were accompanied by Ms. Consolata Alawo, Assistant Director, State Department for Higher Education, Ministry of Education.
The delegation was received by the Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Research and Extension, Prof. Paul Njiru Nthakanio, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi.
The benchmarking engagement focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration in Agriculture Research, Innovation, Technology Transfer and Higher Education Management. The delegation also sought to gain insights into the University of Embu’s institutional practices, programmes and experiences, particularly in areas related to Agricultural Technology and Animal Health.
The visit provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, sharing of best practices and strengthening international academic partnerships, with the potential to foster joint research, innovation, technology transfer and capacity-building initiatives between UoEm and ISPN.
