World Day of Remembrance of Road Traffic Victims

The University of Embu joins the World in observing the World Day of Remembrance of Road Traffic Victims, observed on the Third Sunday of November annually. This year, the day will be observed on Sunday, 15th November 2020 to remember the many millions of people killed or injured in road crashes and their families and communities; as well as to pay tribute to the dedicated emergency crews, police, and medical professionals who on a daily basis deal with the traumatic aftermath of road death and injury. The theme of this year’s World Day of Remembrance is “Remember. Support. Act.”
Remember those we have lost through Road Traffic Injuries (RTI’s); Support road traffic injury victims including their families and Act by doing something practical within your capacity to reduce road traffic injuries.
In commemorating the #WDoR2020, we will be sharing tips, statistics, facts, and safety measures which we can take to protect ourselves (drivers, riders, and pedestrians) and our loved ones.
