UoEm Wins Prestigious DIAR Award

The University of Embu (UoEm) was among the distinguished and top institutions honored during the DIAR Awards ceremony held on 27th March 2026 at the KICC, Nairobi. The DIAR Awards (Diversity and Inclusion Awards & Recognition) are anchored on clear objectives that promote inclusivity, sustainability, and social transformation efforts by public and private organisations in Kenya.
The Awards organised by Daima Trust, aim to recognize excellence, promote inclusive development, and inspire transformative change by rewarding organizations and individuals who champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainable practices in Kenya. This is a significant milestone for the University which has in recent times received numerous accolades and recognition for outstanding performance in all spheres of it’s operations.

Upon recieving the news of the Award, an elated VC, Prof. Daniel Mugendi applauded the organizers for recognizing UoEm’s committment to excellence and its transformative impact in society. He emphasized the University’s strong focus on equity, environmental conservation, climate action, social inclusion, and good governance as areas of pride for the UoEm family. The Vice-Chancellor dedicated the award to staff, students, and stakeholders whose dedication and commitment to quality and excellence make such achievements possible.
