VC urges 2022 graduands to make a difference in their community
The VC, UoEm has called on 2022 graduands to use the skills and knowledge that they have acquired at the University of Embu to grow themselves and make a difference in their communities. “The skills and education that you have acquired in the course of your time here at the University have prepared you to pursue your dreams. I urge you to embrace your future careers whole-heartedly and strive towards making the world a better place for humanity”, said the VC.
The VC, Prof. Daniel Mugendi was speaking during the 7th Graduation Ceremony held on Friday, 16th September 2022 at the University’s Graduation Pavilion. The Ceremony was presided over by the Ag Chancellor, Dr. Kennedy Okong’o.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Council, Senate, University Management, staff and students and other distinguished guests drawn from the County and National Governments as well as from the education sector.
Deputy Director, Ministry of Education, State Department of University Education and Research, Mr. Nanjakululu Omwanaubirifuma represented the Permanent Secretary Amb. Simon Nabukwesi. Manyatta Member of Parliament, Hon. Gitonga Mukunji also attended the ceremony. Ph.D., Masters, Nursing and First Class honours graduands were invited to attend the ceremony physically while the other graduands, families and friends followed the ceremony virtually through the University’s official online streaming channels
