UoEm 2024 Math Contest

The University of Embu will hold the 2nd Annual Mathematics Contest and Capacity Building Workshop for Secondary School students on Saturday 16th March 2024 at the University from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The theme of the workshop is “The Ultimate Mathematical Experience: Stimulating Enthusiasm and Love for Mathematics”.
This will be an excellent opportunity for the students to participate in a national competition, which focuses on problem-solving and quick thinking skills. In addition to the Mathematics Contest, the event will also feature motivational and career talks, a tour of the University, and sensitization on subject requirements for programmes offered in various Universities.
Participating schools are required to identify a team of twenty (20) students: Ten (10) from Form 3 and Ten (10) from Form 4 to take part in the contest. Should you wish to bring an additional team(s), a request can be made through uoemmathscontest@embuni.ac.ke or 0724868982.
The registration fee for every team of ten (10) students will be KES. 2,500 only. The registration fee is payable through the official University of Embu bank account (Kenya Commercial Bank, Embu Branch – 1141890933).
Individual schools will be expected to cater for transport and meals for their representatives.
