The University of Embu hosts Annual Cultural Festival dubbed ‘CULFEST’, an event that is highly anticipated by students throughout the academic year as it not only seeks to bring light moments during the academic year, but also aims at appreciating and celebrating the cultural diversity witnessed in the rapidly growing Institution of higher-learning.
University of Embu sports and recreational programs provide our students with exceptional learning experiences that are not offered in other parts of the University curriculum.
Through participation in university sports, students’ athletes improve their strength, speed, and endurance, and acquire the complex skills and poise needed to perform at their best in athletic competition.
The Sports and Games Department provides high-quality sporting and recreational services for all. It’s mandated to offer indoor and outdoor interscholastic sports and game programs with educational value to both the students and members of staff.
Sports and games are essential for the development of student-athletes and play an important role in protecting the image of the university at the local, national and international levels.
Disciplines offered in the University are Soccer, Netball, Basketball, Volleyball, Rugby, Handball, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Karate, Taekwondo, Swimming, Chess, Scrabble and Hockey.

The Department of Health Service offers Outpatient Services, Preventive Health Services, Curative Services, Promotive Health Services, Referral Services, Observations among others to our students.

The climax of the Culfest is the hotly contested Mr. and Miss. University of Embu beauty pageant. Different contestants showcase their prowess in modeling by displaying their beauty and creativity skills through the different wears, leaving the judges with a difficult task of deciding who was the fairest of them all.
