The Presiding Judge of the Embu High Court, Hon. Justice Richard Mwongo, delivered an insightful lecture on “A Conversation on Sovereign Power” at the University of Embu on Tuesday, 14th October 2025. The event brought together members of the University management, staff, faculty, and students from the School of Law. His thought-provoking presentation highlighted the people’s central role in governance and the importance of upholding constitutional principles and the rule of law.
Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Ag. DVC (ARE) Prof. Paul Nthakanio expressed gratitude to Hon. Mwongo and commended the Judiciary for fostering meaningful collaborations with institutions of higher learning. He noted that such interactive forums not only deepen students’ understanding of the law but also nurture a culture of respect for the Constitution and the rule of law.
