Outstanding Young Researcher Award 2022

Dr Mark Njogu Kimani from the Department of Physical Sciences and Dr Joshua Kiilu Muli from the Department of Biological Sciences have won the Outstanding Young Researcher Award 2022 of the University of Embu. They were awarded certificates of recognition by the Vice-Chancellor at a ceremony held at the University of Embu on 20^th December 2022.

Dr Kimani holds a Doctorate of Natural Sciences from University of Muenster 2019, in Germany. He is a lecturer in the Department of Physical Sciences. Dr. Kimani has published journal articles in journals published by MDPI, Bentham Science and Taylor& Francis among others. He has attracted significant funding from the International Foundation for Science.

Dr Muli holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics from University of Embu 2022. He is a lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences. Dr. Muli has published in high impact journals including those published by Taylor & Francis, Hindawi, Springer and the Public Library of Science.  He has also attracted research funding from the International Foundation for Science.
