Dr. Daniel Mutiso Nthiwa is a lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Embu.  He holds the following degrees:

  • Ph.D in Applied Microbiology (Epidemiology option) 2020 University of Embu
  • M.Sc. in Applied Parasitology (2013) University of Nairobi
  • M.Sc. Degree in Biology (First Class Honours) 2010 University of Nairobi

Research Interests
•    Epidemiology.
•    Parasitology.
•    Applied Microbiology.
•    Ecology of infectious diseases in marginalized areas.
•    Modelling the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases.

He is recognized for outstanding research and publishing in high impact journals including those published by Springer, Public Library of Science (PloS), Frontiers and Nature where he published two articles during the period under consideration.
