The University of Embu hosted a delegation of senior personnel from Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) on Wednesday, 21st June 2023, at the Senate Boardroom for a benchmarking exercise. The delegation was led by the CEO Dr. Wilson Aruasa MBS, EBS who was accompanied by members of the Hospital Board, Management, and other officials from the hospital.
The guests were received by UoEm Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi, and members of the University Management as well as staff from different sections such as PC & ISO, School of Pure and Applied Sciences, School of Agriculture, ICT, and Estates.
The areas of benchmarking were Energy-saving measures, Environmental Social Governance Criteria, Finance and Strategy issues, Performance Management System, and Transformational Human Resource Management.
In his remarks, the VC affirmed the University’s commitment to establishing and strengthening the relationship between the two institutions. The MTRH delegation also visited the University facilities including the ultra-modern Library, University Farm, Food Processing Unit, and Health Unit among other University facilities.
