The President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Hon. Dr. William Ruto officially opened the University Administration Block on 4th December, 2022. The six level Administration Block sits on a one-and-a-half-acre piece of land and hosts over 100 office spaces, 9 boardrooms and 15 lecture halls.
The president was at the University to attended a thanksgiving Service hosted by the Embu County Governor and the Manyatta Constituency Member of Parliament Hon. John Mukunji. It was attended by the Deputy President H.E Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, Governor of Embu County H.E. Hon. Cecily M. Mbarire and the Deputy Governor, H.E Hon. Justus Kinywa Mugo. Also in attendance were Members of the National Assembly, Cabinet Secretaries, Senior officials of the National Government, elected leaders of Embu County, among them Members of the County Assembly, Senior County officials and distinguished members of the public.
The University of Embu was represented by the Chair of Council, Dr. Kennedy Okong’o, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi and members of the University Management Board.
