Workshop on Enhancing Online Teaching & Learning, Curriculum Review & Interactive Course

The Directorate of Open and Distance Learning held training from Tuesday 29th July, 2025 to Friday 1st August, 2025. The Guest Speaker was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Open University of Kenya, Professor Carolyne Omulando, who shared invaluable best practices in online learning. On the Second day, Dr. Rebecca Wambua, a Consultant for the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and the Chairperson of the Distance and Open Learning Practitioners Association of Kenya (DOLPAK) trained members on designing high-quality, multimedia-enhanced, and inclusive online modules that adhere to international best practices. Later on, in the afternoon, Mr. Richard Musyoka, a Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) Expert, took members through Effective Online Assessments/Proctoring exams (demo/hands-on) and how to Incorporate Videos, Audios,e-books and e-journals in Online Learning (hands-on).
