A team of 9 officials from President’s Award-Kenya visited University on Monday 30th June, 2025. The team was led by the CEO, Ms. Margaret Kiogora and the Regional Director, Ms. Wambui Matheri. They were welcomed by the DVC, Academics, Research and Extension, Prof. Paul Nthakanio on behalf of the VC, Prof. Daniel Mugendi.
The group was established in 1966 and targets youth of age between 14-24 years. It presents them with an opportunity to realize their potential through a non-competitive programme of voluntary activities which encourage personal discovery and growth, perseverance, responsibility of themselves and services to their community. It thrives on four pillars: voluntary service, skills, physical recreation and adventurous journey.
