The University of Embu wins prestigious Kenya Quality Award

The University of Embu has been awarded the 2024/2025 Overall Winner in Quality Service Provision in the Large Firm Category at the Kenya Quality Awards Ceremony, held on Tuesday, 12th November 2024 at Argyle Hotel, Nairobi.
The award ceremony was organized by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS)) and was presided by the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry, Hon. Salim Mvurya E.G.H. The Kenya Quality Awards (KQA) recognizes organizations that exemplify outstanding quality management practices and make significant contributions to advancing quality standards in their operations.
In his acceptance speech, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Mugendi, who was joined by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (ARE), Prof. Kiplagat Kotut and PC/ISO Director, Dr. Kirema Nkanata thanked the University Council, Staff, Students, and all stakeholders for their invaluable contributions to the University’s success. He also extended appreciation to KEBS and the jury for recognizing the University’s efforts to integrate quality across all areas of operation.
“This recognition marks a significant milestone in our journey towards achieving and sustaining excellence through quality,” said Prof. Mugendi. He further announced that the University of Embu will advance to compete in the East African Quality Award, where winners from across the East African Community (EAC) member countries will participate.
